Loading a game into a ZX Spectrum in NTSC land (North America)
I finally decided to spend the money to import a multisystem TV capable of handling composite PAL signal.
There are two systems I plan to use with this multisystem TV: a ZX Spectrum and a famiclone - pirated, unlicenced Nintendo clones popular in Eastern Europe and other parts of the world.
The ZX Spectrum had to be modified such that its composite video is output directly on the socket at the rear, instead of being fed into a marginally-usable RF modulator. The modification took some careful soldering, as I did it without removing the motherboard (and the extra-sensitive keyboard ribbon cable) from the case.
The game loaded here is Hyperaction, a game I played very much as a kid.
